MERCER ISLAND, WA (October 4th, 2002) – Highly regarded in the music industry, sampling wizard Dan Dean announced the release of his new "Dan Dean Solo Brass/AKAI" , an 8 CD-ROM set in AKAI® S-1000 format for all AKAI® and all AKAI®-compatible samplers. A mainstay in the Gigasampler® format since its release, this long awaited library is priced at $549 MSRP and features chromatically sampled, multi velocity Solo Brass instruments in various articulations.

We have pushed the envelope as far as our AKAI versions are concerned, by including (instead of omitting) as many samples and layers as possible. In the case of multi-layered instruments, we’ve split the various dynamic layers into separate banks, allowing the user access to a much higher degree of sample data.

A number of articulations, such as Non Vibrato, Vibrato (on Trumpet and Piccolo Trumpet), Portato, Staccato, forte piano, and forte piano short, medium and long crescendo are included in each instrument.

It has always been DDP’s basic premise to produce digital instrument libraries of unsurpassed sonic quality, hence the new DDSB/AKAI uses exactly the same beautifully recorded, high-definition stereo .wav files as the original Gigasampler® version.
